Bugaboo Stamps: AKV Birthday | Presents & AKV Birthday | Cake

WHEW. . .I just got these two cards knocked in time for today's post. . .;) They're virtually identical, but that was intentional. I couldn't decide if I wanted to use AKVBD Presents or AKVBD Cake OR Doodlebug Birthday Girl designer paper or Doodlebug Birthday Boy paper. Decisions, decisions. . .;)

What I did know for certain was that I was going to use this week's Tuesday Morning Sketches #39 because Bugaboo Stamps is sponsoring it!  And because Melissa Craig is such a peach of a gal. She was the hostess of the very first SCS swap that I ever participated in. So, I guess you could say that I wouldn't be where I am now (on the Bugaboo Stamps DT) without her - Thank you Melissa!

PS. God bless Jodie and her blog bearing Easter treats!

PSS. Check out our challenge blog, Catch the Bug, to find out if you're the winner of our color challenge and some Bugaboo Stamps swag!

Bugaboo Stamps: JJ Calendar | May

Y'all remember No Rain by Blind Melon? If so, then you can probably see where I was trying to go with this image + sentiment. In retrospect, it's really rather funny, because although I liked the song, I hated the video. . .;)

Regardless, I LOVE the JJ image. . .;) See what else Jodie's got in store for you on this week's Freebie Friday. Oh, and make sure you check out what the rest of the Bugaboo Stamps DT has been up to on our challenge blog, Catch the Bug also.

PS. More free images here.

Bugaboo Stamps: Ruby Calendar | October

Only two more months to go (Ruby Thanksgiving and Ruby December), and I'll have completed my romp through the Ruby Calendar images at Bugaboo Stamps! Now that you know what I'm trying to accomplish, you see that it makes perfectly good sense (in an April Fool's Day sort of way) to post a Halloween card for Oldie, but Goody Thursday on our challenge blog, Catch the Bug. . .;)

Bugaboo Stamps: Bugaboo Brats | Michael

Do you remember these - The absolutely fabulous onesies/t-shirts that Michele created for a prior ABaC Monday? Well, she's going to share the ancient Chinese secret of making them with us. Yep, it's Tutorial Wednesday with Bugaboo Stamps, and our challenge blog, Catch the Bug!

The hardest card in the world for me to do is one for a teen-aged boy. I don't have brothers or newphews, so my experience with them pretty much ended when I graduated from high school. You can't see the embossed background too well, and I PROMISE you that the greens match a lot better INR than they do here, but I still kind of like it. . .;)

Oh poo, I forgot to mention the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog this past week. I know it's too late to enter the challenge that Bugaboo Stamps sponsored on 03/24/2010, but PLEASE - Do yourself a favor! Drop by, say "Hi!" and check out the incredibly gorgeous sketches that they post every Wednesday.

Bugaboo Stamps: Tea Time | Tea Time & a VOTE for TEAM HO

What an incredible weekend we had at Bugaboo Stamps and on our challenge blog, Catch the Bug! And it's not even like it's over yet. . .There're still some things I NEED to tell you about today.

  • We have a new feature on our challenge blog, Catch the Bug. It's called Scrappy Sketch Sunday and features our favorite Stop-Drop-and-Roll DT member's sketches. Every week, Scrappy will post a new Scrappy Sketch Sunday. It's not a challenge per se. It's more like a resource - A little something from us to you to help you get crafting. . .:D
  • Jodie, as if she hasn't done so much for us already, is offering up some kick-ass blog candy here! It includes not just everything you see in the picture, but also seven free images of your choice! It really sucks that we don't get to play, but I wish you the best of luck!
  • Scrappy's created a project using Bugaboo Stamps for Catch the Bug's ABaC Monday. , and, as expected, it's absolutely fabulous! I could conquer the world if I had just 10% of her talent, enthusiasm, and energy. . .;)
And now below is my pale imitation of an ABaC. . .;)

Supplies: Bugaboo Stamps image, Stampin' Up! card stock, Heidi Grace designer paper, Copic markers, Prismacolor markers, The Paper Studio embellishments, computer-generated sentiment, project inspired by an ABaC received in an SCS swap from Mad Sky Designs.

The Craft Hos: Jelly Bean Prayer Challenge

The Crafty Hos are back with an inspirational challenge this week! It's the Jelly Bean Prayer, a very sweet children's poem about the meaning of Easter.

      Jelly Bean Prayer
Red is for the blood He gave,
Green is for the grass He made.
Yellow is for the sun so bright,
Orange is for the edge of night.
Blue is for the sins we made,
White is for the grace He gave.
Purple is for His hour of sorrw,
Pink is for our new tomorrow!
A bag fulll of jelly beans,
      So colorful and sweet.
      Is a prayer, is a promise. . .
      Is a special treat!

PS. Yes, "hos" pray! HELLO, have you ever heard of Mary Magdelene?

Supplies: Bugaboo Stamps image, Stampin' Up! card stock, Adornit designer paper, Copic markers, Prismacolor markers, Making Memories embellishments, ??? embellishments, computer-generated sentiment.
