Bugaboo Stamps & Catch the Bug: 10/23/2010

Bugaboo Stamps' and Catch the Bug's Just 'Cause challenge is being sponsored by Creative Crafty World - one seriously swanky store - with a set of five Promakers in skin tones. . .WAHOO!!!

But despite my WAHOO, it still sucks to be on the DT sometimes. Why, you ask? Because, I WANT SOME PROMARKERS. . .NOW!!! Don't get me wrong - I love my Copics and I love my Prismacolors, but I could seriously use some more shades of green in particular, but also red. And, it'd be nice to get them for free instead of having to pay for the damn things. . .;)

Thirty-seven years ago there were four little girls in Miss G's kindergarten class who became the best of friends - M, E, C, and RA. When M turned six years old, her parents threw her an enormous birthday party. Everyone was surprised that RA had been invited because that had never been done before, but no one was surprised that C hadn't been.

The Challenge: Make a card raising awareness of your pet cause and post a link to it on Bugaboo Stamps' challenge blog, Catch the Bug, by 10/30/2010 at 7:00 AM EST to be entered in a random drawing for three digi prize packs - seven, four, or two digital images! Need some help getting started? Look here.

Bugaboo Stamps: Breast Cancer | Bear

For my co-workers Carolyn & Maureen, both of them pretty-in-pink heroes.

We have so much fun here at Bugaboo Stamps that every now and then (and especially in October) it's imperative that we take some time to focus on two of the most important things in life. . .breasts. Right-handed men  may prefer the left one.* Left-handed men may prefer the right one.* Or if they're like my husband Lance, it's like asking them to choose between their children. . .but I digress. The point is, let me assure you that they're equally important and therefore worthy of monthly self-exams and annual mammograms.

Show that you care by downloading this week's Freebie Friday digital image.

*If you really need me to explain this. . .;)

Bugaboo Stamps: Flowers

As usual, I was too busy talking at the Austin Shoe Box Swap on 10/02/2010 to assemble my cards (And, I'll admit to being late as well because I left my freakin' keys at the office!). I got halfway through this one (white card stock, red card stock, designer paper, and red ribbon) before I left. But even though I failed to complete the card, I hung on to it (It's so pretty!) thinking that it might come in handy some day. That day came. . .;)

I wish I knew the name of the person that designed this card so I could give her a shout-out, but I'm afraid that I don't. . .:( All the same, she deserves at least half of the credit.

The Crafty Hos: Sketch Challenge

"Now cracks a noble heart."
Hamlet, Shakespeare

It's really rather difficult to imagine anything but Hamlet, Shakespeare's moody Dane, when you see this paricular Skelekinz image. Yes, the quote above was spoken by Horatio at Hamlet's death, not spoken by Hamlet when he was soliliquizing with Yorick's skull, but it still seems appropriate so work with me people!

If I'd have actually followed the The Crafty Hos sketch, I might have put this quote in the corner where is was supposed to go. . .{sigh}
