OMG - Is it possible that I actually have 50 followers?!?!?

I'm honest enough with myself to admit that it's not my talent keeping you here. And, I have no aspirations to the kind of false humility that expects you to disagree with me either. So, I can only assume that there're at least 50 people in the world (OK 27 people if you discount the Bugaboo Stamps DT that HAS to be here) that find me letting my freak flag fly mildly amusing. If not amusing, then at least you haven't run screaming into the night over the fact that I'm hardly a lights-out, covers-up, nose-to-nose, toes-to-toes, Mother-wouldn't-approve, mamby-pamby wuss-ass type of blogger. . .;)

My sincerest thanks. . .even though my Mexican Southern Belle Mama wishes you wouldn't encourage me. . .;)

As of way of demonstrating my gratitude, I'd like to offer all of you the chance of winning one of two pieces of DE-LICIOUS and NU-TRICIOUS blog candy. All you gotta do is leave a comment on this post telling me a little something interesting about yourself. No, I'm not going to sell your secrets to Osama bin Laden and the Taliban. . .Geez Louise, a bit paranoid, aren't we? ;) I just want to know a little bit more about my friends.

Still nervous? OK, I'll start with a few tee-hee-make-me-pee bio-facts:

  • I was born in Izmir, Turkey.
  • "Huera" (sometimes spelled "Guera") is a family nickname and what my parents call me. It roughly translates to "fair-skinned" in Spanish.
  • I have a BA in History with a Minor in Anthropology, both of which are throughly useless except for kicking ass and taking names in Trivial Pursuit.
  • I'm an insomniac (Geniuses need very little sleep. . .;))
  • My claim to fame is making out with the lead singer of a nationally known rock band when I was in college. (No, I'm NOT going to tell you who!)

Leave a comment on this post by 04/17/2010 at 7:00 AM EST. The winners will be generated by entering the number of comments at Random.org. Hos, fellow Bugaboo Stamps DT members, non-followers, and international bright young things are all eligible to win. Good Luck!!! :D

There's so much to catch up on that I'm just going to make a list like the seriously OCD technical writer that I am. . .;)

  • On Wednesday, our GD for April 2010 Patty created the bestest-in-the-Westest paper-piercing how-to for Tutorial Wednesday on our challenge blog, Catch the Bug. And the project she created. . .get outta' here. . .It's just's so awesome and representative of the amazing talent that she has and the incredible asset that she is to Bugaboo Stamps

  • Make sure you check out the Oldie but Goodie Thursday projects that the Bugaboo Stamps DT created on our challenge blog Catch the Bug. This week we're featuring Angie and Michelle. Dear God, WHY (picture me shaking my fist at the heavens) can't I be this talented?!?!? ;)

  • WAIT until you see this week's Bugaboo Stamps' digital image for Freebie Friday. . .UN-FREAKIN'-BELIEVABLE. Every single week I think, "It can't get any better than this." And then ever single next week I think, "Curses! Foiled again!" Jodie, you're a ROCK STAR!!! We're featuring work by Sandye this week, so make sure you check out her blog today. . .the day she's leaving on a Caribbean cruise. . .It's a heartbreaker, isn't it? ;)

  • Tomorrow. . .be there or be square!!! Catch the Bug is THE place to be for a special blog hop/challenge "officially" celebrating our new DT. There's gonna be lots and lots and LOTS of chances to win swag from Bugaboo Stamps. And the projects. . .to-freakin'-die-for!!! I promise that you're going to be KO'd by the depth of talent represented by the Bugaboo Stamps DT. I'm almost, kinda, sorta embarrassed to post my project. . .EEK! ;)

  • My sincerest thanks for the award Audrey, but I could NEVAH-EVAH be as beautiful as you!

Bugaboo Stamps: ABaC Monday (04/05/2010) & a Vote for Team Ho

Please, please, please vote for Team Ho in The Greeting Farm's Royal Battle Week 2. Team Ho is Sandye (who created our awesome entry), Joy, Yoo-Rah, Jackie, and myself. Instructions on how to vote are here.

Now that I've got that out of the way, it's time to move on to all the gooey goodness that is Bugaboo Stamps. . .:D
  • Cammy's created one of the most amazing projects that I've EV-AH seen using Bugaboo Stamps for Catch the Bug's ABaC Monday. I have to tell y'all that Cammy "had me at Hello" when I first visited her blog. And so, she was one of the very first persons that came to my mind when Bugaboo Stamps decided to expand its DT. I didn't know her, but I PM'd her on SCS asking her to apply, and after she determined that I wasn't stalking her, she did just that. The rest, as they say, is history. Cammy's so incredibly talented, sweet,  and funny, and I'm so happy that she's here. . .even though she's a nasty-ass Packers fan. . .;)

  • We've got a new Scrappy Sketch Sunday on our challenge blog, Catch the Bug, and it's a great one! (SIGH). . .I {heart} sketches! Which is why I'll be using this one on a card later in the week. . .;)

  •  Oh, one more thing! Put Saturday, 04/10/2010, on your calendar because it's time to celebrate the new Bugaboo Stamps DT members with a blog hop on Catch the Bug.

That's all for this edition of Rae Anne's yadda. . .yadda. . .yadda. I'll see you tomorrow for Bugaboo Stamps' and Catch the Bug's New Release Tueseday. Until then, wishing you love & other indoor sports.

The Crafty Hos: Recycle Challenge & Happy Easter

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him all creatures here below;
Praise Him above ye Heavenly Host;
Praise, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
The Doxology (1674)

This week The Crafty Hos are lovin' on good ol' Mother Earth and encouraging recycling. . .Not just aluminum, plastic, newspapers, and glass, but also trash. . .or packaging, to be specific.

You can turn this. . .

Now, I gotta give credit where credit is due. This absolutely fabulous idea belongs to Lisa, a Catch the Bug follower - It so totally and completely rocks. . .And so does she!!!) Thank you Lisa!
